Victorian State Budget announcement – Supporting the future of Fishermans Bend

The Victorian Government’s commitment to delivering the Fishermans Bend Vision was cemented yesterday with the release of the State Budget.

The Budget allocated $10.1 million towards continuing the planning process for Fishermans Bend, including funds to progress with the new park and streetscape works as part of the Ferrars Street Community and Education precinct.

$2.1 million was also provided to fund extra peak hour bus services to Fishermans Bend. Additional morning and evening peak time services will be provided for bus routes 235 and 237 to address the high demand in the area.
