Investigating a Sustainability Hub in Fishermans Bend

Funding has been announced to investigate the feasibility of a Sustainability Hub for Fishermans Bend.  This announcement provides the precinct with an opportunity to enhance its status as a world-leading sustainability target in Australia’s largest urban redevelopment.

Building on the water recycling facility already committed for construction at Fishermans Bend, the Sustainability Hub provides an opportunity to develop new, leading standards for waste, water, energy and community facilities.

Through co-location and shared resourcing, energy, water and waste processes can be streamlined to improve recovery rates and reduce amenity impacts as well as increase community satisfaction and knowledge about resource recovery.
