This includes public transport planning for a new connection between Fishermans Bend and the CBD.
The budget also includes $3.8 million for planning for the future Fishermans Bend Secondary School adjoining JL Murphy Reserve, giving local families certainty that they’ll have a great local school, close to home.
A further $1.6 million has been allocated over two years to develop the Government’s vision for stimulating economic activity and job creation within the former General Motors Holden site. Economic analysis and policy work will also be undertaken on the wider Fishermans Bend Employment Precinct that will include master planning, provision of services and site-readiness preparatory works.
